Ferric Sulphate Features:
- High quality and efficient inorganic polymer coagulant.
- Good coagulation function with thick flocs and fast sedimentation.
- Excellent purifying effect.
- Safe, reliable, nonpoisonous and harmless: doesn't contain any harmful substances such as aluminum, chlorine, heavy metal ions, pesticide, and water phase transference of iron ions.
- Can be used in discolouring, dehydrating, deodorizing, degreasing, sterilizing as well as discarding heavy metal iron, radioactive substance and carcinogens in the water, and eliminate COD, BOD, and color.
- Can treat water with PH from 4 to 11, (the optimum pH is 6-9), PH barely changes after treatment, and has little corrosiveness effect to th equipment
- Has very good effect in purifying the river water with algae, low temperature and low urbidity, and slightly contaminated.
- Has a better effect in purifying the high turbidity river water
| Fe content: | 19% (min.) |
| Fe2+ content: | 0.15% (max.) |
| PH (1% water solution): | 2.0 - 3.0 |
| Insolubles: | 1.0% (max.) |
Ferric Sulphate Application:
-
Before using, dissolve the product in running water in the proportion of 10-30% to have red brown solution, then dilute it to dosing solution required for coagulation, the concentration of dosing solution is 2 - 5% for drinking water treatment, and 5-10% for waste water treatment
-
Optimum dosage: viewing the different property of raw water, it can be determined by the experiment. For the waterworks, you may refer the dosage of other flocculant operated before. Under the same conditions, its dosage is almost equal to the poly aluminum chloride, 1/3 - 1/4 of the solid alum .

Powerful Coagulant for Water TreatmentFerric Sulphate Granular is widely used to clarify drinking water and treat industrial wastewater, owing to its excellent coagulation properties. Its high iron(III) content promotes rapid aggregation of impurities, providing clear water after treatment.
Versatile Industrial ApplicationsThis granular chemical finds utility not only in municipal water treatment but also in textile and paper industries. Its ability to bind contaminants and precipitate solids enhances process efficiency and fulfils environmental standards.
Safe Storage and Extended Shelf LifePackaged securely in HDPE bags with inner linings, Ferric Sulphate Granular remains stable and effective for up to two years. For best results, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture to preserve its quality.
FAQs of Ferric Sulphate Granular:
Q: How is Ferric Sulphate Granular used in water treatment processes?
A: Ferric Sulphate Granular acts as a coagulant in both drinking water and wastewater treatment by aggregating fine suspended particles. Added directly to water, it reacts and helps remove contaminants through sedimentation and filtration.
Q: What benefits does Ferric Sulphate Granular offer over other coagulants?
A: This chemical provides rapid settling of impurities, efficient removal of color, and low sludge production. Its high iron(III) content and excellent solubility make it particularly effective for industrial and municipal use.
Q: When should Ferric Sulphate Granular be added during the treatment process?
A: It is typically dosed at the beginning of the treatment process, right after the water enters the facility. Early addition ensures effective coagulation and optimal removal of contaminants downstream.
Q: Where can Ferric Sulphate Granular be effectively applied?
A: Beyond drinking water plants, this product is suitable for treating industrial wastewater, as well as in the textile and paper manufacturing industries to improve water quality and meet regulatory requirements.
Q: What is the recommended storage condition for Ferric Sulphate Granular?
A: Store the granules in a cool, dry location, securely sealed in their HDPE bags with inner linings. This prevents moisture absorption and maintains the chemicals effectiveness for up to two years.
Q: Is Ferric Sulphate Granular safe to handle and use?
A: Although non-toxic, the granules are classified as an irritant to eyes and skin. It is advisable to use protective gloves and eyewear to prevent direct contact during handling and application.
